What is Arabica Coffee Bean?
Arabica coffee beans are oval and flat in shape, and they are dark in colour. In terms of flavour, Arabica beans are slightly high in acidity, and they also have a sweeter, plus more complex flavour than Robusta coffee beans. Besides, Arabica coffee has a lesser amount of caffeine when compared to Robusta, which let Arabica taste smoother when drinking it. This has let Arabica coffee become the favourite of many people and is currently dominating the coffee market.

What is Robusta Coffee Bean?
Robusta coffee beans are the coffee beans that are the second most commonly grown after Arabica beans. They have a circular shape and are harder when touching. Due to Robusta beans having higher caffeine, they often taste more bitter, earthier and harsher. Therefore, Robusta beans are less popular than Arabica as their aroma and taste are less desirable. However, in Southern Italy, the barista will take a portion of Robusta beans to blend with Arabica beans when making the espresso. The reason is that Robusta beans produce a richer crema than Arabica beans, and their earthy character makes them blend well with the sweet steamed milk in drinks like lattes and cappuccinos.

What is Liberica Coffee Bean?
Liberica are huge coffee berries that have an asymmetrical and teardrop shape, and they are the only coffee beans in the world that have such an irregular shape. They are having a smoky and nutty note when roasted or brewed, and often have a fruity and flower scent; this has made Liberica beans much like a fusion of Arabica and Robusta beans. And this unique taste and aroma make Liberica not as popular as Arabica and even Robusta beans, but there's still a small group of people who appreciate it.
